The Basketball Diaries by Jim Carroll

If you can not handle graphic description this book is not for you. it is all true and it is simply Jim Carroll's diaries between the ages of 13 years old and 16 years old. He tells about growing up in the 1960's in New York City, his addiction to heroin, and his time spent selling his body for drugs and money. Still, the book is very inspiring.

The Men Who Stare at Goats by Jon Ronson

This book is nothing like the movie, but that is not a bad thing.
The book will teach you more than you ever want to know about
the United States torture tactics. If you do not have a weak stomach,
read it!

The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith

The Vampire Diaries was about a girl that was in high school and lived with her aunt because her parents died. The girl ends up liking a new kid. No one in the school knows anything about the new kid or where he is from. You will have to read it to find out the answer!

The Idiot by Fyodor Destoevsky

The Idiot is regarded as the philosopher Dostoevsky's greatest work. It is the story of a Russian prince trying to stay pure in a dark corrupt world. It is long, but the ending is worth the wait... maybe.
