Bitterblue
A book I am currently reading is called Bitterblue, the third book in the Graceling series. it revolves around Queen Bitterblue, daughter of the sadistic former King Leck. This man had a power to control people's thoughts and used that to torture them. Bitterblue's advisers lived during Leck's reign and are hiding something. Bitterblue must find out, with the help of two thieves, Teddy and Saf.

Birthmarked
I recently read Birthmarked. It was greatly enjoyable to read about a character with a face not described as perfect. I am sick of reading about characters who are perfect in every way, as they become boring after a while. Not only was she marred by an unseemly scar, she perused her goals for her love of her family instead of herself. The whole attitude of the main character was refreshing as was the plot and how the characters interacted with the corruption of the world.\
