When brother orphans find themselves in Venice, they head for a broken down theater for shelter. They find a small group of similarly aged orphans, led by a kid known as The Thief Lord. He steals and connives to provide for the children, but the new arrivals separate the close-knit group. My opinion: read this book! It is beautifully written with fantastic descriptions and vivid details.~ submitted by a student
